Un re perdeva ogni giorno una pecora del suo gregge e condannava a morte i pastori incapaci di proteggerle. Un giovane pastore, aiutato da una vecchina, riceve una bacchetta magica e un falcetto con cui taglia le tre teste di un mostro che divorava le pecore. In ciascuna testa trova una chiave (di ferro, argento e oro) che apre tre palazzi incantati, pieni di giardini meravigliosi.

Nel palazzo d’oro libera tre anziani prigionieri e viene ricompensato dal re. La figlia del re, innamorata di lui, lo sposa. Quando scopre la ricchezza e la nobiltà d’animo del giovane, la loro felicità diventa ancora più grande e duratura.


ENG | A king lost one sheep from his flock every day and sentenced to death any shepherd who failed to protect them. A young shepherd, helped by an old woman, received a magic wand and a sickle, with which he cut off the three heads of the monster that was eating the sheep. Inside each head, he found a key (iron, silver, and gold) that opened three enchanted palaces, each with beautiful gardens.

In the golden palace, he freed three old men who had been imprisoned. He returned to the king and was praised. The king’s daughter, who had fallen in love with him, married the young shepherd. When she discovered his wealth and noble heart, their happiness became even greater and lasting.
